Durban July is an event organised by Vodacom(a cellphone network service provider in SouthAfrica).In this day fashion is expressed without limitation,your creativity is just allowed to go all the way,you can go as far as designing a dress with leaves,grocery plastic bags,plate numbers,horns,grass just whatever you find is appreciated.It takes place at Durban,SouthAfrica,all roads were facing Durban this past weekend as people were flocking to this big city.This big day is an opportunity to let your hair down and show off your creativity in an eye-catching outfit for the big day. Based on the year’s theme ofcorse, racegoers are encouraged to put together garments for raceday that add to the special occasion. The competitive-minded designers enter the raceday competitions, and the edgy and daring are showcased in the Avant Garde raceday competition.There is horse racing,betting,food,fashion,musicand just everything.Its actually one of the biggest events in Africa attended by people from all over the world….i was more interested in the fashion part….just too much hey…..check out creativity meets fashion….
This is a trend we all aware of am sure, like it really amazes me how everything these days is taken more seriously and done with carefulness ,more energy is put into it and creativity regarding its growth everyday.Nail art too is one of the seriously taken things in the fashion world.Lately across the blogs,facebook and in all sneaky parts of the internet newsprint nails is the ISH!!(ish means the ON thing fyi lol).Me being the thoughtful friend i thought i would bring to you how its done lol….

newspaper,a clear nail polish,any colorful nail polish,absolute vodka or just any alcohol of your choice
on to the steps;
1. Get a manicure and choose a light color so the newsprint will stand out. Make sure that the polish is completely dry before starting the next step.
2. Dip your nails in alcohol and wait for about 5 seconds.
3. Press the newsprint on your nails firmly for about 20 seconds (darker print is best).
4. Take off the newsprint slowly to avoid smudges.
5. Wait for about a minute for the print to completely dry before applying the top coat (to seal the print) ie with the clear nail polish.
When I was growing up, I thought with my head of red hair I’d never be able to wear anything but black, white or navy. Any other color just seemed wrong and usually set off some schoolyard bullying. Depressed, I turned to black and graveyard music, even dyeing my hair black to get rid of the dreaded red.
